This document discusses radiation exposure levels from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. It reports that as of February 2012, radiation levels on the plant grounds were between 1 to 5 millisieverts per year. It also discusses studies estimating the increased cancer risk from a one-time 100 millisievert exposure as less than 1% according to the 2005 BEIR report. In addition, it provides radiation levels measured at various locations near the plant in 2011 and shows they had declined to between 0.1 to 1 millisieverts per year by 2012.
