Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system with surface temperatures reaching 500°C. It is the second closest planet to the Sun which contributes to its extreme heat. The dense carbon dioxide atmosphere traps heat from the Sun and any water would vaporize within minutes. The surface is made up of hot lava under a blanket of toxic clouds, making Venus uninhabitable for human life.

2. How hot is it?It is the second planet from the sun and that is one reason why it is so hot! In fact it is 67,000,000 miles away from the sun . In space, that’s pretty close! The surface temperature is +500c. The clouds contain hot heat from the sun and that is another reason is so hot.
3. No water!!On Venus there is no water but if there was water it would soak up in less than 2 minutes
4. The surfaceThe surface is made of deadly carbon dioxide . Under the hot rocks is incredibly hot lava.
6. Life on venus? If you wanted to land on Venus you would be crushed by the pressure. The atmosphere is made out of deadly carbon dioxide so you wouldn't even make it into Venus. Venus is the closest size and shape to Earth. It is also named after the roman goddess of love and beauty . It is also the brightest planet. In the olden days they would stay up late and see it shine. It is possible for Earth to look like Venus if we pollute more.
