1. WWW.VETLIVE.COM HAS LAUNCHED
OFFERING PET OWNERS ROUND THE CLOCK VETERINARY
ADVICE
OVER THE INTERNET FROM LICENSED VETERINARIANS
BETHLEHEM, PA., October 11, 2010 www.VetLIVE.com has launched, ushering in a
new standard in pet care by offering an opportunity for pet owners to ask questions, get a
second opinion, or chat live from the comfort of their own home, whenever they want, all
at an affordable price. Husband and wife Veterinarian team Dr. Jed and Dr. Laci
Schaible saw the need for such a service and decided to fill that need. Unlike other
online services, all the experts at www.VetLIVE.com are hand-selected, accredited
veterinarians with active licenses, and are personally reviewed and rated by real pet
owners.
2. We felt it was time for pet owners to take control of their pet's health and healthcare
spending, explains Dr. Jed Schaible. With our newly launched VetLIVE.com, if you
have a question, want to chat with a veterinarian, or if you need a second opinion, all you
have to do is simply grab your laptop to get answers instead of making a costly
appointment, waiting for that appointment, and transporting and stressing your pet, and
your wallet. Dr. Laci Schaible, his wife and partner adds, the site gives pet owners the
option to upload pictures of their pet's problem and medical documents to be reviewed by
real veterinarians. For only a small fee, pet owners can get answers to questions though
live chats, emails or text messages.
Together, through the experience of navigating the confusing and costly hospital
healthcare system for their beloved family dog Madison, after learning she had terminal
cancer, Jed and Laci realized how overwhelming, confusing, and expensive veterinary
medicine can be for pet owners.
Your pet cant talk so all the decisions fall on you, explained Dr. Jed.
Six months after Madison died, we realized there was a need for pet owners to have a
way to communicate and interact with veterinarians without the drawbacks that are tied
to an office visit, Dr. Laci expanded, a need for pet owners to have sound unbiased
guidance for their pet's health care beyond their busy veterinarian with office hours.
The couple decided to fill that need with www.VetLIVE.com, thereby enabling pet
parents to be effective advocates for their pet's health.
One core principal to the VetLIVE mission is charity. VetLIVE offers pet owners the
opportunity to donate one dollar or more at checkout. These funds are collected and
donated to pet charities that pet owners choose from a list that includes charities such as
"Days End Horse Rescue" and "American Humane Association."
Visit www.VetLIVE.com to ask a question, register a pet, upload photos or medical
documents, chat live with a licensed veterinarian, receive a second opinion, obtain
nutritional counseling,, and much more. Prices range from $12.95 to $34.95 and can be
paid through Google Checkout or PayPal.

DRS. JED & LACI SCHAIBLE
Jed Schaible grew up in Buffalo, New York. He spent his childhood playing with his
family's many boxers and inventing new products. (He has several trademarks and
inventions). He earned his B.S. from the prestigious Cornell University and his veterinary
doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. During his time at Cornell, he spent a
summer sleeping under the stars in a hammock in the wet mangroves of Indonesia
studying orangutans. After surgically removing a bug larva that was embedded into the
3. back of an orangutan, the orangutan signed, "thank you, thank you, no hurt," to Jed. This
was the moment he knew the only career path for him was to become a veterinarian.
Always a highly ambitious leader, Jed began running his own hospital fresh out of
veterinary school. After three years, he realized he needed formal business training, so he
stepped down to practicing medicine part time while pursuing an MBA. While earning
this degree, he worked as a Small Business Consultant at Lehigh University, where he
attended on a full scholarship.
Laci Schaible grew up in rural east Texas with a menagerie of dogs, cats, birds, horses,
rabbits, and chickens. She wanted to be a veterinarian since the third grade. Eager to
realize her dreams, she left home and started college with a full scholarship at the age of
16. She graduated with honors from Tulane University at the age of 19 and immediately
started veterinary school at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She became
one of the youngest U.S. trained veterinarians in history when she graduated with her
D.V.M. at the age of 23.
Her love of animals and veterinary medicine has led Laci on many interesting journeys,
including being the caregiver of many unusual animals, such as tarantulas, gorillas, and
white tigers, in addition to traditional pets. After practicing as an associate at an
emergency/referral and general practice small animal hospital, she was anxious to lead
and manage her own hospital, which she successfully accomplished and did for years.
Always having an interest in diseases shared between people and animals, she recently
obtained her credentials as a Certified Public Health Veterinarian. Performing surgeries
with her husband remains one of her favorite aspects of practice.
Jed and Laci met when he interviewed her for a job. She got the job. They said their vows
in Santorini, Greece one year later. The couple agrees it was love at first site.
Jed and Laci reside in Bethlehem, PA, and their only children, yet, are the four-legged
kind.
