Landlessness brings obstacles like inability to get loans or insurance, and an inability to profit from labor. Effective land reform legislation that redistributes land equitably among the rural masses is needed to remedy this issue. However, existing land reform laws in India have gaps and inconsistencies and need reform. Additionally, a more comprehensive legal framework is required to support vulnerable groups and ensure their land rights.
