Vietnam has a growing mobile market with over 120 million subscribers as of mid-2012. The three largest carriers, Viettel, Mobifone, and Vinaphone, hold over 85% of the market share. There are now over 15 million 3G subscribers in Vietnam, with Viettel having the largest share at 4.4 million subscribers. Smartphone ownership is also increasing, reaching 13.1 million users, though Nokia and its Symbian OS still dominate the market. The Vietnamese government and analysts expect continued strong growth in the 15-18% range annually for both mobile and 3G subscribers in the coming years.
