The document summarizes a child's planned visit to The Children's Museum of Green Bay. It details the various exhibits they will explore, including ones focused on physical activity, science, construction, a grocery store, fire station, vet clinic, restaurant, reading area, garden, water activities and treehouse. It emphasizes the importance of following rules to ensure safety and taking turns. The museum aims to provide educational and imaginative play for children.
2. Hooray! I am going to The Childrens Museum of Green Bay today!
Its going to be so much fun!
3. When I get to the museum, I
have to wait by the hot air
balloon to check in.
An adult will pay for my
admission at the front desk.
4. Once we have paid our money, we can go inside the museum.
The Childrens Museum has 4 important rules that I have to follow.
1.
2.
3.
4.
Stay with your adult.
Take turns with other children.
Use walking feet.
Have fun!
The museum has many big exhibits!
I will visit them one at a time.
5. This exhibit is called
Get Up and Get
Moving.
I can run a race, kick and
throw balls at a screen,
dress up like a Packers
player and do a Lambeau
Leap.
I know I should wait my turn
when other children are
playing too.
6. This exhibit is called The Digestive System.
The mouth is a slide and there are tunnels inside. It makes silly noises
like your stomach does. It can be dark, but I can get a flashlight at the
front desk to help me see.
7. This exhibit is called
Under Construction.
I can pretend to be a real
builder.
I can build with Legos, Lincoln
Logs and other building
materials when Im in this
area.
8. This exhibit is called
The Market.
It is just like a real grocery
store. I can shop for different
foods with a shopping cart and
check out at the cash register.
Look for your favorite fruit or
vegetable to buy when you are
there!
9. This exhibit is called The Fire Station.
I can pretend to be a firefighter by dressing up, driving the truck, putting
out fires and sliding down the fire pole. The fire truck has flashing lights,
but it doesnt make any sounds.
10. I can work in The Town when I am here by
punching my time card in each of the shops.
When I am done working, I put my time card into the ATM
machine to get play money that I can spend while playing in
The Town. It is fun to work hard and make some money.
11. This exhibit is called The Vet Clinic.
I can take care of the stuffed pets and pretend I am a
veterinarian. I use the x-ray machine, microscope, stethoscope and
other veterinarian tools while helping the animals stay healthy.
12. This exhibit is called The Diner.
I can make and serve food to my family and friends or dance along with
the juke box and see myself on the tv screen. Just like a real restaurant
kitchen, sometimes the Diner can get a little noisy.
13. This exhibit is called
The Reading Nook.
I can go here if I need a place
to cool down. There are books,
puzzles and little games for me
to enjoy quietly until I am
ready to go back into the
museum.
14. This exhibit is called The Garden Shop.
I can dig in the play dirt and plant a flower.
It is fun to look at insects and nature items with a magnifying glass too.
15. This exhibit is called The Water Gallery.
It looks like a big boat! I can splash, go fishing, pour and scoop and
make waterways in the water. I might get a little wet, but there are
dryers and rain coats if I want to stay dry.
16. The Lighthouse is part of the
Water Gallery. It has stairs that go up
to
the top. Its high! Im right next to the light
and I can see the whole museum. I can also
play in the sandbox. I can take my shoes off
and put them in the shoe box to feel the sand
in between my toes!
I will also want to stop
by the Technology Wall.
There are games and puzzles I
can play by touching the screen.
Most of the games have no
sounds, but the piano game can
be noisy.
17. This exhibit is called The Mighty Oak.
It is a giant treehouse with slides. I can climb up into the tree, look for
animals with binoculars or have a tea party. I make sure to wait my turn
on the slides and always slide down feet first.
18. This exhibit is called The Imagination Station.
There are
arts and crafts projects to do every day. I can follow the directions at
the tables or make my own art. I can color, cut and glue. It might get a
little messy, but there are sinks where I can wash my hands.
19. These are the
Celebration Rooms.
I can eat a snack in these
rooms or cool down if I need
to.
This is the
Gathering Space.
There are benches to sit
down and take a break. There
are also toys for sale in the
Gift Shop. I know these toys
are different than the toys in
the museum because they are
for sale.
20. I will remember to follow the rules at
The Childrens Museum.
≒ I have to stay with my adult.
≒ I have to walk and take turns.
≒ If I have a question or get lost, I can go to the hot
air balloon at the front desk and the museum staff
will help me.
≒ I will play, learn, imagine and create!
I have learned a lot about The Childrens Museum.
I know I will have a great visit!
