- 5. Anti-microbial treatment The Virogard Difference: Anti-microbial treatment SLIDE: 4/8 The Virogard fabric treatment process is a unique Australian development. The process is a trade secret but essentially involves a cured polymer coating on the fabric fibres. This coating draws viral particles (and bacteria) into close contact and tears the outer layer of the organism which then dies on exposure to air. The coating: Is entirely safe to humans. Cannot leach its effectiveness lasts for the life of the fabric and will survive even washing or hot ironing. Contains no heavy metals, fluoro chemicals, pesticides, nor nano-particles.
