2. Congratulations to Season 31 HOY Varys
Touch!
The brilliant gelded son of ACE VARYS SENSE OF TOUCH
by DUMB AND DUMBER had the hot hand this season
winning 15 races in 20 tries and banking just over 550Kc in
earnings! A relative unknown going into the season, the 3 YO
homebred of Season 31 Trainer of the Year Foggydan Farms
had not raced as a juvenile and lacked the experience as
several of his 3 YO counterparts.
Yet, despite the lack of a 2 YO foundation his supreme ability
was immediately known when making his debut in a tough
allowance event going 8F over the Belmont dirt. Facing
winners for his career bow, the speedy 3 YO carved out a
wicked pace to wire the field and won going-away by 3 lengths
earning a superb 99 speed figure!
4. He followed up his breakout performance winning 8 of
his next 9 races, overpowering his rivals in the lane
and stylishly drawing away in each contest as the
winning line loomed!
The rising star later captured the G1 Citation Stakes
and 2nd jewel of the Digital Downs Triple Crown
Series. The resounding victory only intensified the
whispers of HOY honors.
6. The spirited gelding marched on to the Champ series
with his gaze firmly on the Championship trophy.
However, his dominance was briefly interrupted just
weeks before the finals, experiencing his first 2 race
losing streak of his career.
The determined star continued on, unfazed by the
adversity to win the Champ Classic Conso and the
Champ Route Finals with back-to-back 99 speed
figures! Congratulations to Dan of Foggydan Farms on
the HOY honors and a scintillating Season 31 at
digitaldowns.us!
7. SSS is where its at
Week one of the Superstar Series is in the books, and we had
some nice upsets. Woody was the all star of the day scoring
multiple wins, and going 1/2 in the 2 year old colt Route. All
female score a huge upset over Sheza Troll for Trunoble who
has seemed to really step it up this season.
Congrats!! Florida Farms scored fresh of a 30k claim on
Blakota, which should officially make him the home run
claim king. Also Fortherestofus broke a track record in the 2
year old colt sprint. Its going to be an exciting season and the
first weekend was no dissapointment. In the handicapping
contest, it was all about Second to None, who scored to more
picks then anyone else, and closed the gap to the leaders.
