 Installation, Testing (BDV, OT, WT, and BUCHHOLZ), Commissioning, Troubleshooting
of 66/33/11 KV Substation equipment like transformers, electromechanical relays,
potential transformers, current transformers, circuit breakers, isolators and also oil
filtration of transformers.
 Operation and maintenance of SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers.
 Taking megger values of different equipment.

 Operation and maintenance of 66/11 KV 10 MVA power transformer.
 Operation and maintenance of control circuits including various types of relays
(over current, earth fault, differential, trip circuit supervision relays etc.)
 Preparation of the equipment for operation and starts, stops and control of the

Project Name:
Transformer Health Monitoring in an Intelligent Substation
(400 KV Substation)
The project was on how to control and monitor transformer parameters such as
current, voltage, power factor, frequency and temperature. As part of the Project, an
innovative design was developed with 16F877A micro controller which monitors and
displays the essential parameters in a substation, and protects the system from any
abnormality in the transformer parameters.
The project was done at a 400 KV Substation as part of a mandatory academic
project during the final year of Bachelor of Technology (EEE).
