I served as a behavioral health consultant to NYC’s Human Resources Administration’s HIV/AIDS Services
Administration’s (HASA) Emergency Housing Placement Unit at the Hamilton Center to ensure that SPMI and MICA
adult homeless HIV+ clients seeking emergency housing were promptly screened (by way of comprehensive
psychosocial assessment) and placed at the level of housing suited to their behavioral health needs. This included
assessment of the client’s mental status, completion of the 2010e housing application, and management of acute
behavioral health emergencies. When necessary, I conducted rapid assessments and liaised with EMS to ensure
immediate transport to the local psychiatric emergency room. Administrative duties included clinical supervision of
LMSW staff in addition to the monitoring and tracking of program’s statistics for quality assurance and improvement.
Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center (NYC HHC), Bronx, NY
Pediatric & Young Adult HIV/AIDS Services
January 2010 to April 2014, Clinical Social Worker
I provided clinical and concrete services to a caseload of 57 perinatal and behavioral infected HIV+ youth, ages 0-24,
in the hospital’s Outpatient Department. This included oversight of the intake process for newly diagnosed HIV+
patients, provision of short-term supportive counseling, disclosure counseling and crisis intervention, in addition to
applications for entitlements (including HASA, ADAP & PRUCOL), sessions with families as needed, and
coordination of referrals to community based agencies.

• Provided short and long-term individual counseling to special and regular education students, ages 14-18 using
psychodynamic and strength-based approaches. Met with student’s parents and respective caregivers as needed.

prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, gender and sexual identity and healthy relationships.
