The document discusses watersheds in the Philippines. It explains that watersheds are areas of land that drain water into streams and rivers. They come in various shapes and sizes, from small cross-town areas to larger provinces. The Philippines has many important watersheds, such as those located at Mt. Apo, Mt. Makiling, Tiwi, and others that feed dams and provide fresh water to communities. The main function of a watershed is to produce a continuous water supply that sustains life within the watershed and in surrounding areas.
