Ultrasound
mammogram
Progress has been made over the years and what it shows is that early detection
saves lives. The earlier this dieses is caught the chance of survivable increases.
Here are three of the many ways to be tested, ultrasound, genetic testing, and
mammograms. Mammograms are one of the most common, but many women
are considering genetics testing.
Early detection
checklist
Obtain regular mammography screening starting at the age of
40
Obtain annual clinical breast exams
Perform monthly breast-self exams
Obtain a risk assessment from a physician
HIGH RISK LOWER RISK
For the average women routine exams should start at the age of 40, but
women with a higher risk need to start at 30. Also women should examine
themselves every month. Early detection saves lives.
Lower your Risk
Eat Right
Dont smoke
Exercise
While there are no cures and there are some risk
factors we have no control over we should try hard
to control what we can. Eat right, dont smoke, and
take care of your body the best you can.
