The document outlines a final project for a 7th grade class. It describes the students, which include 13 girls and 7 boys from a variety of racial backgrounds. It notes that 1/3 are visual learners, 1/3 are hands-on learners, and 1/3 are book learners. The main objectives are to stress the importance of critical thinking for their webquest project, discuss a podcast they listened to, and introduce a hashtag collaboration method using #ProjectMichelangelo on social media to help students who need assistance.

Analyze the Learners:
- 20 7th grade students, (13 girls, 7 boys)
- 5 White, 10 Latino, and 5 African American.
- 1/3 of the class is considered visual learners, another 1/3 are hands on learners,
and finally the other 3rd are book learners.
Main Objectives:
Today I will stress why critical thinking is important with their project on
Webquest. Before I stress why critical thinking is important, I will discuss what they
got out of the podcast I had them listen to overnight. They should have also looked
over the sources for their Webquest. Back to the subject of critical thinking though,
I plan on showing them a poster detailing some of the important points of what
makes a student a critical thinker. I will stress to them that sometimes exchanging
ideas between others can help turn the internal gears in your mind. This is how I
will introduce the hashtag collaboration I came up with. If a student is having
trouble with their project, they can make a tweet or status about it in order to get
some assistance via their classmates. The hashtag they will be using is
#ProjectMichelangelo. 100% of the students will know how to collaborate with one
another on the project by the end of the class.
Breakdown:
- Show them the Critical Thinking poster and explain it to them.
- Stress Critical Thinking with their assignment on Webquest.
- Introduce them to the use of hashtags on facebook and twitter.
- #ProjectMichelangelo
