Larry Smith
              Ted Talk
Larry Smith
is an economic professor at the University of Waterloo, well known story
teller and youth advocate.
His Ted talk is titled
Why you will fail to have a great career
His talk was very easy to listen too, great loud voice control and very
                               motivating.
The title sounds negative and scary but the talk only gives drive.
Success vs. Fail
Passion vs. Interest

Larry goes over how we will fail to succeed if we
do not follow our passion. Talking about our life
goals and our inevitable out come to fail to
achieve our dreams if we do not take charge. He
discusses the excuses we give ourselves as people
when we are afraid to follow our dreams.
It was easy for the audience to be drawn in by
how blunt Mr. Smith delivered his speech.
His speech was dry and blunt, yet funny and quick.
Larry follows the Ted
Commandments. Not only
to dream big but to really
Peruse your passion.
I believe he was very simple
with what he was explaining.
He used a few examples to get his point across very nicely.
His Dynamics I give a 4/5

Larry Smith is very dramatic is demeanor. With timely pauses
in his speech, it keeps listeners wanting more. Larry
commands the stage like a mad scientist would.
Message Delivery

Larry Smith delivers his message in a very strong passionate voice. He is animated and
quick witted. Throwing dart after dart at parents, and children alike who are doomed
to fail to be happy. It might seem harsh at times but after listening to the talk in its
entirety one can see Smith offers more solutions then judgments.
Ken Robinson

Ken Robinsons talk was titled Schools Kill Creativity
Robinsons Ted talk was very
Entertaining. From the beginning you
are completely engaged. His cheery
accent only adds to the attention
demanding demeanor any Public
speaker needs.

He talks about the creativity lost
when children go through school
systems.
Brief
                  Comparison

Larry and Ken have a very different
message to convey.
While Ken seems more cheery then Larry
they both command attention from the
audience.
Ken a little more happy humor, while Larry
is more blunt.
Key Difference
Larry talks mostly about passion over interest.

Ken talks about child like creativity.
I think both men delivered their talks brilliantly. I fell like I took away a lot,
    and
and can apply them to my creative life. Robinson kept me laughing, smiling,
and wanting more.
Larry delivered his talk with much charisma. Talking almost sinister and sort
    of
frightening at times. Smith made me want to prove the
world wrong, andfollow my passion.
If you cant handle the truth Larry Smiths Ted talk is not for you.
In Conclusion
I feel like I learned a lot from both speakers. Hold on to your creativity and find your
passion.
Final thoughts.

To anyone giving a speech I would say take your
time. Stay calm, speak clear, and keep it simply
entertaining.
