New & Updated Project Summary
In the week ending 29th June 2018, AcuComm added or updated 44 projects to
our database. These have a combined estimated value of US$1,985 million. There
were 18 completely new projects this week, and 26 updates.
This brings the total number of active projects in the AcuComm database to 5,169.
They have an estimated value of US$347.5 million, or US$67 million on average.
The USA was the leading country in the past week in terms of project value,
accounting for US$368 million. This was equal to 18.5% of the total for the week.

The leading feedstock this week was Plant biomass (waste), which accounted for six projects and an
estimated US$559 million. This is equal to 28.2% of the total value this week.
In terms of estimated capacity, the leading feedstock was MSW, which amounted to an annualised
2,492,092 tonnes or 38.5% of the total. Plant biomass (waste) was the leading feedstock for power
generation this week, amounting to an estimated 190 MW or 43.2% of the total.

The leading facility type in the past week was incineration (with energy recovery). This
accounted for 11 projects, with a total estimated value of US$937 million. This was equal to
47.2% of the total.
In terms of estimated capacity, the leading facility type was also incineration (with energy
recovery), which amounted to an annualised 2,244,246 tonnes or 34.7% of the total. Incineration
(with energy recovery) was the leading facility type in terms of anticipated power output. This
amounted to 347 MW, equal to 78.9% of the total.
