Mr. Nicely teaches US History and World History II at Deep Run High School. The first test will cover geography and religions and will take place on Wednesday and Thursday. The textbook is available online only and students will take the SOL test in May with the goal of exceeding SOL standards. Grades are based 30% on homework and classwork, 20% on quizzes and writing assignments, and 50% on tests and projects. Students will complete a semester web 2.0 project due in January involving 21st century skills like Google Apps and online collaboration. Parents are encouraged to help students use educational resources available through the state of Virginia.
