  1. Many of you are probably thinking this is basic knowledge that I should know by know I AM a high school student. Often I believe common personal hygiene is overlooked and I believe it can help improve how you feel about yourself and your overall health. Some of you may feel akward around your parents to talk to them about good hygiene, so I will give you the important information you need to know.
  2. These are some things you should be doing on a DAILY basis. Showering, many of you are involved in sports it is very important to yourself ( and others) to keep up with your showering, however some of who arent in sports should still shower, but it is not nesscassry to wash your hair with every shower but you should wash your hair every other day. Wearing deodorant, is very important your body odor is caused because of bacteria feeding off your sweat in your armpits, some of us may need prescription strength which is available at most stores. Washing your hands is so important , buy washing your hands you stop the spread of germs and sometimes diseases, wash your hands after going to the bathroom, after handling raw meat, after coughing or sneezing , or whatever else your judgment tells you. You dont want to come to school looking like a bed head, so be sure to brush your hair so you can prevent tangles, snarls etc. And finally brush your teeth! Brushing your teeth prevents plaque, ginvgitis and cavities, also be sure to floss and rinse with mouth wash at least once a day to keep the bacteria in your mouth at bay and clean!

For boys to keep a neat appearance it is good for them to shave their faces as needed some will need to shave more than others, Daily showers are a must because teenage boys produce more sweat than girls they should be frugal about their showers and deodrant use(http://www.troubledteen.us/teen-hygiene.php)

For the girls hygiene can be a little more complicated, when girls are on their monthly cycle it is important to change your tampons your pad every couple of hours, and showering during these times. This may be embarrassing to some of you but, its always better to know. For girls it may be especially important to wash your face in the morning and before bed to get rid of any makeup they you may have put on during the day, makeup is known to clog pores and create pimples and black heads.
  5. Some of you may think why do I care if I smell bad, or dont wash my hands?
