What You Wear is Who You Are
In the fashion world, The way you surround yourself with things and how you present yourself shows who you are. The way you clothe yourself tells your audience of what and how you take pride in the things you do. Colleen Davis (fashion editor)
Please Read Parable of the Wedding Banquet Matthew 22: 1-14
Matthew 22:11-13 (NIV) 11"But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes . 12'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless. 13"Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
Matthew 22:11 (NIV) 11"But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes .
The Pretender Self -Will (not afraid to disobey/confront the King and non-submission to the Son) Self -Love (prefers self over God) Self -Sovereignty (yield no homage and asserts his independence) Self -Righteous (his own good works serves for his justification)
Wedding Garment The wedding garment represents anything which is essential and vital to a Christian, but which the soulish heart refuses to accept. It represents anything which the Lord ordains for a saved soul but which selfishness rebels. It is the test of loyalty and obedience.
Matthew 22:12 (NIV) 12'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless.
The King You come to my house, sit at my table, eat my food, and insult my Son by not honoring what He has done for you. God is saying, I am talking to you.
King and Judge the criminal was speechless. Undeniably guilty but worse of all, there was lack of remorse or repentance. He never pleaded for the judges mercy or leniency, for sin has hardened his heart and darkened his soul.
Matthew 22:13 (NIV) 13 Then the king told the attendants, Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
Judgment Tie his hands (that do not pray) Bind his feet (that do not bring good news) Throw him outside (away from Gods presence) Into the Outer Darkness (no darkness so dark as the darkness of the man who once saw the light)
Isaiah 61:10(NIV) 10 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness , as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Hebrews 6:4-6 (Amplified Bible) 4For it is impossible [to restore and bring again to repentance] those who have been once for all enlightened , who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the Holy Spirit, 5And have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty powers of the age and world to come, 6If they then deviate from the faith and turn away from their allegiance--[it is impossible ] to bring them back to repentance, for (because, while, as long as) they nail upon the cross the Son of God afresh [as far as they are concerned] and are holding [Him] up to contempt and shame and public disgrace.
