Viewpoint: Mr. Benjie Delgado
Problem Statement: How to put his department in good shape within three (3) months
Problem Objective: Putting his department in good shape within three (3) months
withstanding the Managements decision of reducing his departments manpower complement
by seventy percent (70%).
Areas for consideration: (can apply SWOT analysis):
STRENGTH:
1. The Management sees potential to Mr. Delgado and his enthusiasm
WEAKNESSES:
1. His departments equipments are obsolete, considering that it supports other
companies;
2. Laying-off 70% of his manpower;
3. Lack of discipline and commitment among his personnel;
4. Low morale of his staff due to the fact that most of them are on contractual basis
OPPORTUNITIES:
1. He was given full authority to come up with a final list of employees to be retained;
2. Get rid of problem employees which will strengthen the performance of his
department;***
THREAT:
1. Considering the present economic conditions, almost all other companies are losing
