Description: A family therapist typically meets with an entire family to discuss

Level of Education Required:
1)Must have a Masters degree in social work, counseling, or psychology and
must have a LCSW, LPC or LMFT
2) Must have a Masters in Counseling and be provisionally licensed LPC (PLPC)

Description: Marriage and Family Therapists are trained and licensed
to independently diagnose and treat mental health and substance
abuse problems. They focus on understanding their clients symptoms
and interaction patterns within their existing environment from a
relationship perspective that incorporates family systems.

-Masters Degree (minimum)
Type of Work Experience Needed:
-Trained with a minimum of two years supervised clinical experience
-Experience working in a high volume environment strongly desired

-Proficient with Microsoft Office

Description: Family Counselors provide professional counseling services to
individuals, families and groups served by Amethyst. They are responsible for
individual and family counseling.
Level of Education Required:
-Graduate Degree in Counseling, Social Work &/or Marriage & Family Therapy, or
doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D / Psy.D)
Type of Work Experience Needed:
-3-5 years experience in chemical dependency and mental health treatment
services
-2-4 years providing Family Treatment and/or Integrated-Systems approach; able
to use activity-based &/or play therapy strategies to deliver services
-3-5 years of counseling with intense issue exposure / trauma-informed care -1-
3 years experience working with diverse populations
-1-3 years experience with sexual abuse/domestic violence & family reunification
Required Skills/Knowledge:
-Assesses clients risk of lethality
-Evaluates clients outcome of participation in classes and group sessions attended
-Determines when to place clients on apartment or building restriction, and/or
when to require clients to travel with buddies.
-Instructs clients to provide urine samples for urine screens.
-Decides when to request / instruct clients to leave the group, class, or individual
session, due to the clients inappropriate behavior
Description: A psychologist obtains clinical responsibilities within the youth inpatient and day
treatment units. Clinical roles include providing individual and family therapy for children and
adolescents on the inpatient and day treatment units, as well as psychological assessment
with goals of differential diagnosis and treatment planning, assessment and treatment of
autism spectrum disorders, and designing and implementing behavioral intervention plans.
Level of Education Required:
-Graduated with a Ph.D or Psy.D. degree from an APA accredited graduate program in
counseling, school or clinical psychology
-Completion of an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship
Type of Work Experience Needed:
-Current licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Utah
-At least 500 hours of practicum experience including intervention and assessment
-Internship authorization and coursework verification
-Experience working with youth populations in acute settings

Level of Education: -Masters Degree (minimum) Type of Work Experience Needed: -Experience with upper quadrant evaluations and treatment. -Hold a current OT license in the state(s) in which they are performing clinical screenings as long as licensure is a requirement of that state -Have at least one year of professional experience as an OT (post-graduation) -At least eight hours of continued education per year in the area of evaluation and treatment of upper quadrant disorders desired Required Skills/Knowledge -Advise on specialist equipment to assist with daily activities -Ability to develop a rehabilitation program to help re-build lost skills -Ability to teach anxiety management techniques -Ability to assist people to return to work -Coach people with learning difficulties or poor social skills, e.g. in handling money and social interaction -Mentor people on how to control their own behavior
