2. My primary target audience for my media
product is 16-25 year olds
I chose this audience as I believe they would be

older or younger people as people of this age
are more likely to be able to relate to the issues
of drug abuse and crime
4. Results
The majority of the people who filled this questionnaire were 16-20
years old.
The three issues that they were interested in was drug abuse, violence
and social class and status.
The four themes that they were most interested in was Age, Physical
Ability/Disability, Class and status and Ethnicity
5. Secondary Research
I undertook some secondary research into the
statistics of drug abuse and found out that:
Young adults (those aged 16 to 24) were more
likely to have used drugs in the last year than older
adults. However, the proportion of adults aged 16
to 24 taking any drug in the last year was 16.3%,
down from 19.3% in 2011/12.
The proportion of adults aged 16 to 24 taking any
drug in the last year was almost double the
proportion in the 16 to 59 age group, at 16.3%.
