Currently the data worldwide are alarming: more than 30
thousand tons daily reach ravines, rivers and wastelands thus
generating pollution and creating sources of infection.

In general, garbage is usually
accumulated or thrown away by
mixing those elements that can
be recycled, such as paper,
cardboard, glass, plastics, metal
and waste from sanitary
control. If each member of the
community manages to properly
separate the waste, they can
control it and avoid later
problems.
“That is why Civil
Defense and Diego
Kravetz , Head of the
Security Area of the
Municipality of Lanús,
provide the following
tips to become aware
and help everyone to
generate change.

â–° . Buy products which contain containers that do not harm the
environment. That are ecological.
â–° . It is important to take recycling as a habit and teach it to the little
ones. Everything fundamental is learned from home.
â–° . Separate containers appropriately.
â–° . Fold cardboard boxes to save space and generate some comfort
by taking them to the recycling bin.
â–° . Throw the bottles in their corresponding container.
â–° . The soda cans also go to the recycling bin.
â–° . Reuse plastic bags as many times as possible.
â–° . Do not throw the used oil in the sink. With just one liter can
contaminate up to 1000 liters of water.
