Upon receipt of your application and tuition/deposit, confirmation of your

Course Credit
Pacific is authorized to award continuing dental education credits by the Dental
Board of California. All courses are accepted by the Academy of General Dentistry.
Please refer to each course description for the specific number of continuing edu-
cation credit hours. One unit of credit is awarded for each hour of instruction.
ADA CERP
University of the Pacific is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a ser-
vice of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying
quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or
endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit
hours by boards of dentistry. University of the Pacific designates this activity for 7
units of continuing education credits.
Refunds
All Pacific continuing education programs have a money-back guarantee.
Your tuition is 100% refundable if you are not completely satisfied with any
of our programs.
All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Other than tuition refunds,
the Pacific School of Dentistry is under no financial obligation to reimburse partici-
pants for airline tickets, hotel reservations, or any other
costs incurred should the need to cancel or reschedule this program arise.
Registration Cancellations
Pacific requires at least 24 hour advance cancellation notification in order
to issue a refund. No refunds will be made for registration cancellations received on
or after the date the program begins. All refunds must be requested in writing.
Payment Methods
We accept cash, checks, VISA, or MASTERCARD. All checks should be
made payable to Pacific School of Dentistry and mailed with the registration form to

THE SIX ELEMENTS
ORTHODONTIC PHILOSOPHY
Since the 1970s, the Six Keys to (Normal) Optimal Occlusion have proven to be both optimal and
universal treatment goals for teeth. Jaw surgery advancements now allow orthodontists to offer
patients more treatment options. There is little concurrence, however, among orthodontists about
treatment goals for the other five areas for which orthodontists have diagnostic responsibility: Arch
(shape and lines), AP Jaw Positions, BL Jaw Positions, SI Jaw Positions, and Pogonion Prominence.
In the 1980s and 1990s, research at the Andrews Foundation led to treatment goals for those areas.
The new goals, along with the Six Keys, are called The Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony©™.
When each of the six areas is optimal, a person will have optimal orofacial harmony to the extent
possible orthodontically. Like the Six Keys, the new Elements work for nearly everyone, regardless
of race or gender.
OBJECTIVES
• Learn the importance of the forehead and maxillary incisors for AP diagnosis
• Learn the importance of the planes of the head for AP diagnosis and cast mounting
• Learn universal treatment goals that are harmonious and defendable
• Learn new landmarks and referents that bring science to diagnosis
• Learn a new, positionally correct, classification system
• Learn effective and efficient rules for treatment
• Be introduced to a fully programmed appliance for arch correction efficiency

SPEAKER
Will A. Andrews completed orthodontic
training at the University of California at San
Francisco (UCSF) in 1992. He is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Orthodontics, a
member of the Edward H. Angle Society
of Orthodontists and an assistant clinical
professor at UCSF. He is the co-director of the Andrews
Foundation for Orthodontic Education and Research. He
has published articles and lectured worldwide about the Six
Elements Orthodontic Philosophy. He maintains a private
practice in San Diego, California.
