Early Life Wilheim Ernst Wenders, aka Wim Wenders was born in Dusseldorf on August 14 th , 1945. He began taking photographs at the age of 7 and by the age of 17 he had his very own equipment, including a darkroom. In 1966 he settled down in Monparnasse, Paris where he watched movies in his spare time.
The Start of Wender's Film Career 1967 Wenders decided to begin his career Enrolled in Academy of Film and Television Made films in the style of Warhol Long scenes Open narrative 1970 Wenders graduates Summer in the City
Film Veriag der Autoren 1971 Wenders founds Film Veriag der Autoren The Goalkeeper's Fear of the Penalty International Film Critics Prize Post-war Germany 1973-1975 Wenders goes on to make three more movies
Wenders and the U.S.A. The American Friend 1978  Hammett Based on writer, Dashiell Hammett Francis Ford Coppola State of Things Best Film of the Venice Film Festival
