The document discusses the history of women in ministry within the ECC denomination. It found that throughout history, many denominations incorrectly believed the Bible restricted women's roles, whereas the ECC believes Jesus placed no restrictions on women and instead certain restrictions came from Jewish traditions. The author hopes to further discuss these findings at the upcoming annual conference.

Women in ministry
1. Women In Ministry
I am pleased to report to our women in ECC that I just finished an article on the history of women in
ministry in the ECC. There are other important details I found that will be added later but what I was
able to find from our archives was exciting. Throughout history, many denominations felt the Bible
restricted women in many areas of ministry, but the truth is that this is an error.
Paul dealt with the Corinthians and Timothy as an in house problem for WIVES. This problem was
surrounded by a belief that women held onto that made it difficult in their marriages with their
husbands. The ECC maintains that Jesus never restricted women in any capacity; however, it was a
Jewish belief from the Old Testament that separated the women from the men in worship and the
reading of the torah.
I hope to briefly expound of this at annual conference.
