Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars gave the Opening Keynote at the WOMMA
Summit 2012 in Las Vegas. He talked about building his business through
referrals and developing a reputation for honesty. He also noted that
connecting a story to an item makes it that much more valuable!
Michelle Cardinal of Visa and Matt Britton of MRY gave a session describing
the three main elements of Visas winning formula at the 2012 Olympics 
connect fans to athletes, perfect orchestration in real time and provide
simple ways to cheer and share.
David Oehler, Wheaties, and Kristin Carroll, Active Network outlined the
Wheaties response to the challenge of connecting to a changing customer
base  the Millennials. Together they created Team Wheaties, a group of
Everyday Champions who represent the brand, not because they are paid
(they do get a uniform) but because they are engaged and like to share their
experiences.
Author Jackie Huber closed the first day of the WOMMA Summit with a talk
describing how Lady Gaga creates brand loyalty and how those lessons apply
to other businesses. The session closed with special entertainment!
