- 8. Started in 2003 ? 6 month after WordPress was forked from b2, the ?rst Japanese version of WordPress were available. ? WordPress did not have the ability to localize it systematically. ? They were maintained by Otsukare and friends.
- 9. 2004, Localization in WordPress Core ? Otsukare opened a forum issue 14 years ago. ? 100 comments. ? Mentions gettext. ? Matt Mullenweg comment as a moderator ＾Well the localization code should be rolled into the main release sometime. (Soonish.)￣

- 22. WordBench ? Local meetups in Japan are called ＾WordBench￣ ? Launched in 2008, by Takayuki Miyoshi, the author of Contact Form 7. ? It¨s a BuddyPress website that local WordBench can join. It¨s like the meetup.com website. ? Currently, we have 59 WordBenches. ? I run WordBench Ogijima.
