- 21. Using Advanced Search Enter search terms. Default settings will appear. If you would like to change these when doing a particular search, use the drop down arrow. Use all of these words for OCLC, ISBN and ISSN number fields When you have entered search terms, click search or just press the enter key. Use navigational links within the system instead of the browser back button. Searching screen will expire in 9 minutes of inactivity. 21

Title, author, # of copies, need by date, extended due date, patron or book group name and contact information.

- 31. New ILL Status - Borrower Cancel Shipped Request Indicates that an item has been shipped to the borrower, but the request had meanwhile been cancelled. This is an alert status telling the library that a shipped item needs to be sent back to the lending library because a patron no longer wants it. Actions: Returned or Received
- 32. New ILL Statuses - Lender Cancel Shipped Request Indicates that an item the lending library has shipped was cancelled and will be coming back to the lending library. (Alert status) Undo Shipped Does not display as a category in Request Manager. Appears as a status option in the dropdown action menu for requests in shipped status.
- 33. Undo Shipped Request is placed back into the pending file at the lending library Lender may then chose a different status. The original lender string remains in the request. Shipping List If current shipping list has not been printed, the unshipped item will be removed. If the shipping list has been printed, the unshipped item must be manually removed from that list. The request for the unshipped item will be flagged as unprinted. Staff must have permission to use this status. Granted through ILL Permissions.

- #5: On General tab under Browsing history, click on the SETTINGS button. Select the option to Check for newer versions of stores pages: Every time I visit the webpage.
- #6: On the General tab, under TABS, click Settings. Select the radio button for always open pop-ups in a new window.
- #7: On the Security tab: Click on the SITES button to add WISCAT as a Trusted Site Make sure the check box for Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone is UNCHECKED.
- #8: Internet options privacy screen pop-up blockers Make sure you dont have the IE pop-up blockers turned on
- #10: July 1 wiscat.net will redirect to the new generic WISCAT site. Replace the Xs in these URLs with your 4-letter library code.

- #13: Settings have been brought over from the Classic interface. So you have the same settings checked. Searching for interlibrary loan, remove Badgerlink resources, not necessary. The more z-targets you have checked for searching the longer the search will take. The last category is My Favorite Web Links
- #15: Cataloging download cart no longer available. Staff needs to create a Download Cart as a List

- #20: Also a good option for staff. Uncheck show jacket art Can fit more results on one page. Has quick-view hover window to see where the lenders are.
- #22: Bug (moving between locations and records with navigational tools above) Matching will depend on quality of cataloging. Z targets match best on title, author, ISBN if you are searching for a particular item.
- #23: Do not use qualifiers on advanced search screen unless searching only the union catalog
- #24: Search broadly first, then narrow with facets. ISBN is the best number search for a specific item.
- #27: Search time AG has no control over how quickly Z targets respond. If you find what you need, stop the search and request the item. You do not need to wait for all search results to be returned.
- #29: Multi-copy Only available from within one locations record. Book kit list should always be checked first.
- #30: Use blank requests only for serial photocopy requests, microfilm request, and when a record cannot be found in WISCAT
- #36: Click on ILL Permissions
- #37: Enter a check mark into the box next to undo shipped item. The undo shipped option will now appear in your status options drop down. 油 This option is only available between two SHAREit libraries and also between SHAREit and NCIP libraries; but not for ISO ILL transactions (i.e. OCLC borrowers). There is no undo shipped in the standard ISO ILL messaging set.
- #39: Undo shipped not available for non-Shareit libraries option will be grayed out for OCLC libraries.

If you do not want us to go out of state put NO OS in the borrowers notes. RL&LL will always send a conditional message to get your approval to go to the Library of Congress. If we find the title is freely available electronically we will send the link in a conditional message. If you accept the condition, we will update the request to shipped non-returnable.
