X RAY
BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT IN-PLANT TRAINING
An X-ray, or X-radiation, is a penetrating form of high-energy
electromagnetic radiation.
Most X-rays have a wavelength ranging from 10 picometers to 10
nanometers, corresponding to frequencies in the range 30
petahertz to 30 exahertz (3×1016 Hz to 3×1019 Hz) and energies in
the range 124 eV to 124 keV.
WHAT IS x-RAY?
X ray
When a very fast
moving electrons
are suddenly
stopped by the
metal target, then
the electrons emit
some of the rays
called X-Rays
Principle os
X-Ray
Wilhelm Roentgen,
Professor of Physics in
Wurzburg, Bavaria,
discovered X-rays in
1895
