Technology Transfer: The Secret Engine
Behind Israels Success
Yaacov Michlin, CEO
Israels Amazing Statistics:
Prior to 1996, Israel was home to 186 life science
companies. By 2012, this number had passed 1,000.
With some 40 new companies formed each year.
41% of all life sciences companies operating in Israel
today were established during the last ten years.
An impressive 34% of these companies have already
begun to generate revenue
In 2011 life sciences exports reached $8.9 billion, an
increase of 10% over 2010.
