Summary The main idea of the project is to increase the level of innovative cross-border business and project cooperation in the Barents region. Target group: young and innovation-oriented entrepreneurs, and potential young entrepreneurs (students) Planned duration: 36 months Partners from Finland (Kemi-Tornio UAS as Leas Partner, Rovaniemi UAS), Norway (Barents Secretariat), Russia (Socium+, MSTU..) and Sweden (Företagarna Norrbotten) Funding: ENPI Kolartic Based on good experiences of Young Entrepreneurs in Barents -project (Interreg IIIA Nord, 2006-2008)
Project Purpose Project Purpose is to ensure a functional and sustainable cross-border business and project network of cooperation by developing an Innovative Cross-Border Business and Project Development Support Platform , where different regional actors can meet each other on a regular basis in order to provide mentorship, to seek for new ideas and to open up possibilities for various innovations.
Results Cross-border business and project development network established contact network through organizing conferences Increased regional entrepreneurial competence businesses fulfill the role of mentors and trainers Innovative cross-border business and project support structure established physical environment where innovations can be born and innovative business cases can be piloted or launched Innovative cross-border businesses and projects initiated and piloted. new innovative businesses and business pilot cases
