The OECD is launching an online tool called "Your Better Life Index" to mark its 50th anniversary and engage the public more in the policy process. The index measures well-being across 11 topics to incorporate citizens' quality of life into understanding societal progress. Users can create their own index, compare countries based on their priorities, and learn about policy best practices. The goal is to help governments connect their policies to citizens' lives, express citizens' concerns, and empower greater civic participation and understanding of policy issues.
