This document summarizes a mushroom cultivation project carried out by members of YPARD Nepal, a local chapter of a global organization for young agricultural professionals. The project involved training provided by an instructor to 5 YPARD members on growing oyster mushrooms. They prepared a total of 89 growing packets using chopped straw and mushroom spores. The members regularly visited the site to monitor growth, provide water and pesticides. Mushrooms were successfully harvested over multiple rounds by the YPARD members and volunteers. The project aimed to provide practical skills and promote self-employment opportunities in agriculture for youth.
