TITLE : Optimal Algorithm for Power Allocation in OFDM Based
Cognitive Radio
DESCRIPTION: Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) have been
recognized as a potential transmission technology for CR systems, since it has the
reconfigurable subcarrier structure that can facilitate adaptive adjustment of parameters,
and the Fast Fourier Transform module of its receivers can also be used for the power
allocation and spectrum sensing. Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing is an
attractive modulation scheme for CR systems due to its flexibility in dynamically
allocating power allocation to multiple users and its ability to reduce interference
between adjacent subcarriers. When water-filling algorithm is used, the transmission
capacity of secondary users is maximized while the interference introduced to the
primary user is within a certain range.
