Snapchat and Instagram are popular social media platforms used by teens and adults to communicate with friends and celebrities. Social media has become integrated into everyday life, especially for teens and young adults. Many people feel connected to famous individuals through following them on social media. The video references current topics like Ramadan in Islam, transgender identity, Kylie Jenner's lip challenge, and contouring eyebrows through visual representations and words floating on the screen.

Both Snapchat and Instagram are currently trending on social media and they are used by teens and adults. In the last few years, social media has became part of nearly everyone's life especially teens and young adults. They communicate with friends and celebrities quickly and easily. Moreover, in todays society many people feel that they are close to famous people and that they know everything about their life due to social media, as they can follow them on Instagram, Snapchat and many other social media applications. ‘Tap that’- by tapping an image on Instagram you either liked a picture or a video which makes it easier to show what they feel and whether they like this post or not.
Ramadan and Jesus – Islam and Christianity More people these days talk about religion than before. In the video the word ‘Ramadan’ floats across the screen on the side of her to show what she is referring to; along the side with that she mentions Adam and Eve and then she says ‘Oh Jesus, oh lord’ which shows that she is putting two different religions together in this context. Due to the fact that both Islam and Christianity have Jesus and Adam and Eve so it shows there are similarities and this may connote that in today’s society religion has been a major issue and all around the media.
Transgender- Bruce Jenner (the Kardashian’s step father) which is a current issue in the news and social media and the fact that now ‘his’ name is Caitlyn Jenner. This is represented in the video by adding a face on Lady Leshurr’s which has comical effect and reflects the idea that until now not many people support the idea of transgender as they see it as not accepted and they think it’s against nature, so many people would laugh and make fun of the idea especially if its someone famous like Bruce Jenner.
This part is referring to Kylie Jenner’s lip challenge where teenagers wanted to make their big by putting a small cup on their lips and sucking all the air out for a few seconds which makes them swollen for a few hours. Most teens posted hilarious videos and images of their lips as some were epic fails; where most had bruises. Moreover, Lady Leshurr refers to it by having her hand on her lips instead of adding any comic effects.
Rachel Dolezal is a white woman who pretended to be mix race, which recently was very popular on the web. The use of animations by just having her head floating on the screen suggest that she is being made to be laughed at.
In the last two years, contouring your eyebrows has become very popular where most girls will draw on what ever shape eyebrows they would like. However, some girls cross the limit and make themselves look hideous with the way they contour their eyebrows. The way this is represented in the video is similar to how the word ‘Ramadan’ was shown; where the word has a ‘fly in’ effect to the side of her.
