Advocate Zia Awan is a lawyer of human rights and legal aids. He struggle for freedom and human rights. Much concerned against social injustice since school days. He joined the legal fraternity to continue his mission established and heads an NGO the Lawyers for Human Rights & Legal Aid 1989, . He is running a separate project. Madadgaar, for the timely assistance of women and children. A leading member of several NGOs including the Child Care Foundation, Lahore; maintains close liaison and collaboration with the Edhi Trust; CPLC; UNICEF; UNESCO; UNESCAP and Action Aid in Pakistan; actively associated with numerous related programs including the Jail Reforms Project; Legal Education Behind the Bars; para- legal training, forums and workshops.
