Zinedine Zidane was born in 1972 in Marseille, France to Algerian parents. He grew up playing soccer and fell in love with the sport at a young age, inspired by watching great players like Enzo Francescoli. Zidane joined Juventus in 1996 and helped the club win numerous honors, also becoming a key player for the French national team. In 1998, he led France to a World Cup title, scoring two headers in the final against Brazil. Zidane later transferred to Real Madrid for a then-record fee, helping them win the 2002 Champions League final.
