Marian the librarian is demonstrating how to use Zotero reference management software. She searches the library catalog and saves book records directly to Zotero. She can add notes and tags to saved references. Marian generates a report from her Zotero collection that includes her notes and tags. She also creates a bibliography in HTML format using citations from her Zotero references.

A FOLDER icon appears in the url address bar. She can click the icon A list will pop up and she can select which items on the list to save to Zotero. Marian performs a search in her librarys catalog.
Zotero saves a books bibliographic information.
OR after viewing a book record she can save it by clicking on the BOOK icon. Zotero saves the item.
By clicking the ZOTERO icon at the bottom of the browser she can see her Zotero files.

Here are notes she has added to a PDF document/report she found online.
Marian used a CHAPTER by Luke Vilelle from this book. To save this information she can first save the book record.
She can change the record type from BOOK to BOOK SECTION.
She can add the information she needs to make the record complete.
