This document provides a summary of Byron Soulopoulos' posts on Tesla Motors and electric vehicles. It includes disclaimers about Tesla clubs and trademarks. Soulopoulos shares historical photos showing the decline of horses in New York City between 1900 and 1913. A quote from Henry Ford from 1913 discusses plans to develop an affordable and practical electric automobile. Charts show increasing battery range and decreasing battery costs. Information is given on expanding battery production capacities. Electric vehicles are described as having far fewer moving parts than internal combustion engines, making them cheaper to maintain. Autopilot features and the development of autonomous vehicle technologies at Tesla are briefly outlined.

5. Ford Model T electric car , 1913
Within a year, I hope, we shall begin the manufacture of an electric automobile. I dont like to talk about
things which are a year ahead, but I am willing to tell you something of my plans. The fact is that Mr. Edison
and I have been working for some years on an electric automobile which would be cheap and practicable.
Cars have been built for experimental purposes, and we are satisfied now that the way is clear to success.
The problem so far has been to build a storage battery of light weight which would operate for long
distances without recharging. Mr. Edison has been experimenting with such a battery for some time
