Dr. Samuel Nana Yaw Simpson is a Senior Lecturer in accounting at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), Legon. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His PhD thesis was in the area of public sector financial management, focusing on the governance, reporting and disclosure practices of Government Business Enterprises (GBEs). His research and teaching interest include among others, public sector accounting, public financial management and accountability, and sustainability accounting, reporting and assurance, a course he co-developed.
