Solvang Celebrates Centennial in 2011—100 years of Danish Heritage in California’s “Little Denmark” The 100th anniversary in 2011 marks of the founding of Solvang—“Little Denmark”—and everyone is invited to join in all the celebrations of this federally recognized “Preserve America” community. Solvang Centennial Committee volunteers are promoting the 100-year anniversary with a series of themed events and activities every month during 2011.
