My main interest is building real-life biomedical text applications for better healthcare. I am a key contributor to widely recognized systems such as BioCaster in public health surveillance and MedEx in clinical informatics. Currently, I am the key contributor, leading a technical team to build PhenDisco, a new phenotype information retrieval system for NCBI's database of genotypes and phenotypes (dbGaP).
