Printing and coating industries are areas with many applications of chemical engineering as all sorts of chemical and mechanical engineering setups are involved. The requirement of combining chemical and mechanical features into processes gives chemical engineers a unique view of the whole process that cannot be achieved through individual and separate approaches.
As a scientist at Sun Chemical, currently I am working in several areas. The main areas are Rheology and Non-Newtonian Fluid Mechanics, which connect the chemical and mechanical aspects of processes. These areas are intimately connected to dispersions and their qualities and behaviors in general.
