Since 1991 I am with Siemens AG's Corporate Research & Technology division where I am currently working as a Principal Engineer and Certified Senior Software Architect. I have been in charge of different teams with focus on software architecture and distributed systems. My special research comprises platforms, software architecture, software product lines, functional programming and decentralized distributed systems. Within Siemens (and on some occasions also for external companies) I have been involved in customer projects as a software architecture and technology consultant.
