Rodney Stearns is a father from Denver, Colorado who designs apps to prevent users from making bad decisions when it comes to impaired driving, and distracted driving. His inspiration for creating these apps was his son, Devyn, who in 2010 was close to earning his driver’s license. In 2012 Stearns created DzigN8 in memory of Tessa Conradi, who was killed by a drunk driver on her way home from work.
Stearns was in the U.S. military for 9 years, where he worked as an Army medic, as well as a Navy Hospital Corpsman. Upon leaving the military, Stearns worked as an EMT in Los Angeles for 9 years. It was while working as an EMT that Rodney saw just how many accidents and unnecessary deaths we.
