ANIMALS

Our student population is focus in second grade children, the goal with this class is
that children learn about animals and their characteristics sounds; in this way they
are able to recognize an animal through their songs.

We are going to present the teaching material withdifferenttechnological resources,
such as:

   Engagement part:

    Power point (short animation about animals)
    Moviemaker (a song animal’s video)

   Study part:

    Hot potato (animal match activity)
    Avatar cartoon (a feedback about the topic)

   Activate part:

    Publisher (homework about the topic)
    Click


Class develop

First we are going to engagement the children with an interesting presentation
about the animals that we are going to teach. We choose to teach seven animals,
thus children can learn it in an easy way.

After we introduced the topic, we present to children a video, in this part, first
children are going to listen the song, and then they will stand up and make the
animals songs according to the video.

In the study part, children are going to do an activity with teacher´s assistance, the
activity consists in recognized the animal picture, and match this picture with the
correct word. Then, the teacher through the voki animation provides the feedback
about the previous activity.

Finally children are already to make an individual homework, in this part we are
going to give them a paper in which they have to recognized the animal word, and
in this way they must to draw the appropriate animal for the word, and after this
homework, we will go with the children to the system room, and in this part they are
going to do a brainteaster.
