The History of Bunting in
            Kickball
If I know my strengths and weaknesses as well
as those of my enemies, I will win 100 out of
                100 battles. Sun Tzu
Bunting comes from an ancient Chinese
technique that was developed during the Wu
Kingdom (one of the three competing super-
dynasties during the Three Kingdom Era).
The Wu Kingdom was the longest surviving
kingdom because of these bunting techniques
that were later perfected by Sun Tzu.

Basics to Bunting
Always bunt with your right foot (I dont care if
you think you are left footed).
Visualize essentially catching the ball with the
inside part of your right foot.
Always bunt the ball towards 3rd base, Never to
                     the pitcher or 1st base

As soon as you make contact with the ball run
to 1st and dont watch where the ball is going
1st base is the only base that you dont have to
stop at so dont stop running until you are at
least 1 foot past the base

                                          secret between catchers,
                                          pitchers and 3rd basemen
that I will share with you
                                          today.
There is an area on the

                                          completely impossible to

              1. Back up as far as possible behind the base. This will
push the catcher back and that means a greater
distance between the catcher and the ball than if you
were to kick it from the base. In other words, it will take
the catcher a longer time to get to the ball.
              2. Kick the ball like a soccer ball - this means using the
"inside" of your foot. When you do this you have greater
control over the placement of the ball than if you were
to kick it with your toe.
              3. It's a bunt, so obviously kick it lightly and on the ground.
              4. Once you have properly bunted the ball, run like the
                   wind.
