About
I have been a prosecutor for nearly 25 years. I co-authored the Victims Bill of Rights "Marsy's law" in 2008 and served as president of the Association of Deputy District Attorneys (ADDA) for 9 years. On March 8, 2008, as President of the ADDA, I unionized the largest prosecutors union in the United States (Bargaining Unit 801). I am committed to working to implement changes in the criminal justice system that are greatly needed at this time. "Reform First" is an approach that I have developed and the basis of a law that I am proposing as an initiative that will address significant flaws in how we prosecute crime in Los Angeles and across California.
