When the runners come to the first triangle they will go to the left of the triangle
and follow the road
The route through Overton Park will be clockwise with the forest on the right
At the golf clubhouse turn North/Right on Veteran’s Plaza Drive
Follow Veteran’s Plaza Drive around behind the Memphis College of Art and
Brooks Museum to Poplar
After exiting Overton Park, the runners will cross Poplar at Tucker and go
West/Right on Poplar to Manassas
South/Left on Manassas to Union
West/Right on Union to Marshall where the half marathoners will go
North/Right on Marshall to Monroe
West/Left on Monroe to Fourth Street where the half
marathoners will enter AutoZone Park to finish

will continue west on Union to Lauderdale

Memphis Marathon - Course Description

1. �� Course Description for St. Jude Marathon and Half Marathon Starts at corner of Fourth and Beale headed south South on Fourth Street to Linden West/Right on Linden to Second Street South/Left on Second West/Right on G.E. Patterson to Front Street South/Left on Front to Georgia West/Right on Georgia to Riverside Drive North/Right on Riverside Drive to Beale East/Right on Beale to Third Street North/Left on Third to Poplar West/Left on Poplar to Front Street North/Right on Front to A.W. Willis (formerly Auction) East/Right on A.W. Willis (Formerly Auction) to Second Street South/Right on Second Street to Shadyac Left/East on Shadyac and through the gates of the St. Jude campus Runners will follow this drive and exit by the security station on A.W. Willis (formerly Auction) East/Right on A.W. Willis (formerly Auction) to the maintenance entrance at Overton Park near the Zoo NOTE: A.W. WILLIS TURNS INTO N. PARKWAY EAST OF DANNY THOMAS South/Right into Overton Park When the runners come to the first triangle they will go to the left of the triangle and follow the road The route through Overton Park will be clockwise with the forest on the right At the golf clubhouse turn North/Right on Veteran’s Plaza Drive Follow Veteran’s Plaza Drive around behind the Memphis College of Art and Brooks Museum to Poplar After exiting Overton Park, the runners will cross Poplar at Tucker and go West/Right on Poplar to Manassas South/Left on Manassas to Union West/Right on Union to Marshall where the half marathoners will go North/Right on Marshall to Monroe West/Left on Monroe to Fourth Street where the half marathoners will enter AutoZone Park to finish

2. �� After the full marathoners split from the half marathoners at Marshall, they will continue west on Union to Lauderdale South/Left on Lauderdale to Beale West/Right on Beale Main Street South/Left on Main to Linden East/Left on Linden to Peabody (Linden turns into Somerville) East/Left on Peabody to Cooper South/Right on Cooper to Young East/Left on Young to E. Parkway North/Left on E. Parkway to N. Parkway (running against traffic) West/Left on N. Parkway where it turns into A. W. Willis (formerly Auction) (running with traffic) South/Left on Third from A.W. Willis (formerly Auction) to Jackson East/Left on Jackson to Alabama East/Left on Alabama to Danny Thomas South/Right on Danny Thomas Runners will continue on Danny Thomas and go under the Union Avenue Overpass After the runners pass under the Union Avenue overpass, they will make a right turn up the south bound exit ramp from Union, and return to Union West/Left on Union to Fourth Street North/Right on Fourth and turn West/Left into AutoZone Park to finish 10/17/11 ��
