In my professional academic life I am interested in the process of knowing how we know what we know, what is needed to support this knowing (learning), and what happens in the process of the creation of knowledge. This includes the space or environment within which the learning and knowledge creation occurs and what is required to develop and maintain a Japanese concept known as Ba. In our learning we want to know but often this desire to know appears misdirected towards a product instead of the process leading to this knowing. We need to ensure that the process of learning as well as the learning of process remains at the centre of what we do every day.
